Understanding Elite Dangerous

Find Materials the Easy Way

Hi everyone,

Some of you know that I've started a YouTube channel not that long ago:

http://youtube.com/users/30minutegaming

Which is dedicated to Elite Dangerous, and in which I'll be constantly posting educational videos about ED as my way of giving back to the community.

As I want to improve in this trade, I'm starting this thread for those who would wish to be involved in the project - here you will be able to discuss my videos, give me feedback and criticism, as well as suggestions for future videos.

Also this is where I will be posting announcements about all the future videos when they come on, so the links are neatly compiled in one thread and not all over the forum.

Thank you all who watch my videos and send me support and tips, it means a great lot!

This community is trully amazing! :)

In this video from my Elite Dangerous Tutorials series, we set out to find Unknown Artifacts, and try an interesting way of extracting fragments from them, which yields double the loot!

As always please leave constructive feedback, is I listen to every single opinion and it helps me to improve my videos over time, thank you in advance.

Hey cool cool! Keep them coming. If you also make some new-player friends videos I'd be happy to link this to a few friends I know are on the fence about jumping on board. :)

Hey, thank you! Yes I will soon be making a video on how to properly navigate supercruise, how to make use of your instruments etc, there are some players who played this game for a long time and still don't know everything about SC ^^ So I feel like it's an important video to make

I tried out YouTube once and the main thing you have to do is be consistent and don't expect anything for 1-3 years and kids don't have those.

Good luck though I'll subscribe ;)

I do this as a hobby to keep my editing skills fresh, if it picks up in the future it's great, if not - doesn't matter, I will keep doing it as I properly enjoy it and like sharing my knowledge of the game even if it helps one person, that's already a suficient reward ! :> Thank you for your subscription

Yeah I found your channel recently and subscribed. Nice presentation, and your voice is pleasant.

I'm looking forward for the next stuff!

Thank you sir ! :)

How did you find it? Just wondering

There's are a lot of things I still need to learn about YouTube, but it helps that I have previous experience with editing and media tools, HD audio was a bit tricky but I managed to sort it out.

I just couldn't put out something out there that's poor quality, or crackly, or pixely, and it does take a lot of time especially in the beggining to get everything right, but I'm slowly adjusting my formula and getting closer to the point where I'll be able to put out a video every 2 days or so

If I recall correctly I made a research on Google about Unknow Fragments, and your video showed up in the results.

Random question?

Where are you from? Your accent is brilliant! Haha

Err thank you, it's a bit of a mix, I'm a lithuanian born with german heritage, but I lived in USA long time ago, and currently reside in Ireland for the last 6 years :p

Confusing, I know :D

Wow! That's awesome!

I'm actually making a new channel myself soon, and once I'm an ED Veteran, I plan on doing something similar. So I might make the new channel now and sub to this! I need all the information I can sponge up, so keep the videos rolling in!

Just wanted to say Massive was willing to come out of the blue to help me with some tough missions I had, that I couldn't complete myself. I nearly gave up and cancelled my huge string of missions when this guy showed up to help when nobody else would. Full props. It's rare to meet someone as nice and willing to help people without strings attached. Kudo's to you!

Well you say no strings attached but, on the night of the third full moon from now, you'll hear a knock on your door :D

But that was a lot of fun, let's do it again some time ^.~7
