Unfortunately Timed DLC release

The latest release of the thrill-seekers ride pack has very clearly been received with discontent, partially due the price/content ratio, but mainly due to it being released at this time. With that I mean that it was released for a game that many perceive as unfinished or at least unpolished, together with a free update addressing some, but not all of these issues. Combined with the DLC being released as a surprise and it not having any type of theming, means many perceive this move as a money grab release, which will hurt Frontier's image (and stocks) a lot. Additionally, the sudden sale of the main game, which although not unwelcome, seems like a half-hearted apology at best.

Preferably the DLC wasn't released yet at all, but it's too late for that now. So instead to try to preserve Frontier's image, I can currently only see one method: Frontier's Management should issue an official apology statement and in addition make the new DLC free and refunding those who already bought it. Although that might hurt the on the short term, I personally think it will help in making the Planet Coaster 2 playerbase trust you more in the long run. And please at least hold off on any further (paid) DLC releases until you have a fully polished game!

They won't open the door to potential bullying and threats though. I mean, if they decide today that Thrill Seekers can be free and we all get a refund, Frontier will only be providing the ability for players to do the same thing with every DLC, it will become a culture and in it's own way completely spoil the game and maybe even the community. Backing down in that manner is a terrible business idea in the long run. Maybe some better future-strategy can be applied though.

Yeah I do think that is true as well, but at least a public apology is something I feel is needed in general, not just about the DLC, but preferably also about releasing a game in a releasable state. And in general frontier's communication could be better.

i was a big fan of PC1 ... bought all dlcs and all of them were great BUT at the moment i think Frontier is crashing with 300 into a wall ... i ve never seen such bad decisions

100% agree. Frontier is completely oblivious and not being able to read the room.

It makes me wanna go full angry karen mode and ask to speak to the manager. Who is in charge there?

Why not try to fix the game first, add basic features, content and functionality from the first game and make sure people are happy and have trust in Frontier again before trying to sell us $10 for 5 extra rides. I dont think anyone has a park big enough with all rides already because the game is still broken. So why need more right now?

I would rather spend $10 on getting basic features and content from the first game than spend $10 on DLC on top of a game that has so many missing features.

This has taught me to NEVER pre-order a Frontier game in the future. I am so gutted that I bought the apparent premium edition. When I did this with Planet zoo, all the DLC was included, why not for this game? It's quite disappointing.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and offer a dissenting opinion about Frontier choosing to release a DLC pack at this time. Personally, I have nothing against them doing so as offering content is their entire business and they have to continue to put out more to sustain income to function. I would ask those in the mindset of Frontier being wrong for releasing this DLC now to consider this scenario... A major auto maker has had to recall thousands of new vehicles because of an issue. Do they stop producing all new vehicles until they have corrected the ones already sold? That would be financial suicide for that business to do so, so no, they continue to produce new vehicles while they work on what was already made. Granted, this is not completely identical but it has the same underlying concept of a business needing to keep producing and selling to make money. That said, I again will express my feelings of not thinking the 5 rides are worth $10 USD to me. Either more content should be added or I'll just wait and maybe pick up this latest DLC on a sale in the future when the price aligns more with the value I believe it's worth.
