Unidentified combat ships.

Galnet news reported on the 17th May, "In a possibly related development reports suggest some Federation convoys are being shadowed by groups of unidentified combat ships". I was curious to know if any one has come across these Ships yet?

I'm guessing they're just ship that are out of sensors reach to provide a positive identification on? Sensors knows there's something there, just not what it is. Those ships would likely have a good power plant to mitigate their heat signature.

It's referring to the effort by some players to follow the Unidentified Artifact convoys to see where they are carrying them. It's flavor text so the "unidentified" bit isn't really accurate.

Still, being able to see a cmdr name is different from "identifying" in the sense of knowing who they are snd why they are following you.

Well that makes more sense, i wrongly presumed it was factual as it was liked to the Unidentified Artifacts.
