I was flying in supercruise in my local system, USS appeared. I targetted it, reveals it's a Distress Beacon (Threat 2). I drop in, one lone Diamondback, just sittng there motionless. He's generating chat dialogue that let's me know he's out of fuel.
"Awesome!" I say, "time to test out my new search and rescue ship build". A Cobra Mk4 designed specifically with refuelling limpets and collection limpets for escape pods (and valuable salvage).
I target him, fire a fuel transfer limpet and away it goes.
The Diamondback springs to life. He turns, boosts away and disappears in a flash (I assume into supercruise since he only has 1t of fuel).
No thank you. No reward. No secret information he's willing to share with me. He just turns away and leaves.
"What an A-hole! I could have just left him there to die."
The encounter leaves me poorer (granted it's only $101 credits for a limpet and whatever a ton of fuel costs), feeling unrewarded and questioning if I will bother next time.
Please teach your AI some social skills. Even 1 ton of cargo would be a fair trade for saving your life.
