unigue ships and stations

hello, Commanders,

We need some unique ships that are build by sone mad scientist, pirates and Engineers. On independent spacestations outi n the deep. The Same for station ando outpost. An bobble full of exactly thes same ships and stations without much variets ... Future :D

I mean c'mon no one modified a viper mk3 or a python with 29" wheels and lightning ^^
Or even construct an unique ship .. from the basic model frame???. The python is over fivehundreds years old..

Don't worry it's only an example of the idea.
And yes I love X2 and freelancer

You realize it takes 2 months for FD to make a ship right? Even the modded ones take up a lot of time since they actually build the inside of the ships along with the outsides.

Sure I know about it..
Don't mind me if I say that as I alpha player with lifetimeopass.
I hope they finds some time :D

Meanwhile No Man's Sky will have a nearly unlimited amount of ships (the game creates em) available and SC (even though it's not ready to play) will have at least 50+.

FD prefers to spend dev time on bobbleheads, CQC crap, a useless synthesis system and boring moons to visit. Combat's really good though, keeps me going anyway.

I really doubt it takes 2 months to implement something like the viper 4 or the Ieagle, I mean common... they're the same ships with a slightly different model/interior/skin/stats.
I truly have no idea why we don't already have 2-3 of each ship's variations. I know for one they really, really don't want to give us more ships with 9-10 manoeuvrability. Would be too much fun!
They prefer we ram ourselves.

"Boring moons" and potential free landing on any solid surface planet are a big reason I'm playing this game. One man's trash...

Well the Milky Way does seem like it's currently inhabited by the least creative people ever born. More variety is always nice, although i wouldn't mind if they focused on balancing the current ones first.

after 2 moths we will get a new space ship in ED :D

I've heard that No Man's Sky will have a space themed Build A Bear factory, marshmallow moons and tomato soup flavoured asteroids too. We'll get these on the day of release and be able to build our own death stars from lego using space chopsticks.

I do think it takes them way too much time to put these things together, but people whinge about them when they get them so perhaps they'd be better off focussing on other parts of the game first?

FD have released the game and we are able to play it. We can forever compare them to what SC etc. are planning to release but everyone that hasn't released has promised way more than they will likely deliver on day 1 anyway. If you want to play theoreticals, just set your mental clock back and pretend ED hasn't been released and compare what was being promised a that time and see if it makes you feel any better. :D It was far more interesting when they were telling us what they had planned!

THIS >> GRASS is far greener than THAT >> GRASS because the people growing THIS >> GRASS tell me it will be, providing I give them lots of money now. I've told my kids that they'll have to wait another 2 years before I let them play outside because I'm not happy enough with the GRASS I've got now, I'd rather they wait until I get the new stuff. When they complain I just tell them to grow up!

but we dont have grass on rocky planets and moons :/

I had played PoE in the past, and one of their ideas was to allow players to design unique items for the game together with the development team, as part of their most expensive supporter packages. I had also read online that spaceships in SC cost $35k or more to develop.

Here's a (serious) question for you: would anyone be interested in paying a similar sum, and work with FDEV to design a unique ship, which would be available just for the player who pays for it?

How about splitting the cost between a given number of players (for example 10 players or so), who would then be given the ship in question?

PS: forgot to add this: the ship would not present any significant in-game advantage, it could be something the size of a Cobra, but with a unique look.

If they had non-pilotable ships, they presumably would involve a lot less work - no cockpit modelling, no internal compartment modelling, fewer/simpler sounds and probably a simpler flight model.

Yes we do - its called Astro Turf. :D

Astro Turf is a drug that produces an intense sense of euphoria and energy in the user. It is both physically and psychologically addictive, but because users do not gain a tolerance, many simply dose themselves with Astro Turf continuously to avoid the inevitable crash. Due to the genetic alterations caused by long-term Astro Turf use, all of the major colonies have declared it contraband

Does that mean anyone caught smuggling it is mown down without mercy?
