Thanks for posting the billboard pics, too! Those are always cool.
I thought they were really cool too. I spent quite a few minutes doing my best to decipher the fine print on the Lavian Brandy one after I made out David Braben in it. It's one of those finer details that just add that certain something to the game.
Great thread. I may have to visit a few more - I've only visited a Fed military base and left with my tail between my legs and a very depleted hull

Edit: just finished reading the entirety of this thread. Utterly wonderful, you're an adventurer/space tourist/traveloguer/galactic cinematographer after my own heart (I'm only kicking myself for not doing this myself). Wish I could have repped all the posts but the one on the OP will have to do.

Thank you for your kind words and the add to your thread. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting all of those installations and bringing them up to the forefront for others to see.
And also thank you for your thread that made this one, and future trips, possible. +Rep to you Commander! I literally can't decide which tour I want to take next. There are hard choices to be made but I will set off on that adventure soon so stay tuned.

100% agree. I'm currently on a break from "Elite:Look at stuff" and waiting for "Elite:Gameplay". Still love Elite though, one of the best games I've ever played.

Yeah this is another example how Elite gets the reputation for being mile-wide, inch deep. All these wonderful stations and yet there's nothing to do with them. (Okay, a few offer a scavenger hunt type of go scan their data relay thing. But even that is simply seems to be simply a disconnected mini-game like something to do if bored.)
