Unknown artefact crashed ships no longer there post 2.2

So i've been chasing up known crash sites and have so far gone through 3 without finding a crash let alone an artefact. It would appear the update and new mapping of some planets have reset these.

Anyone got a working one still or is the only way now the merope USS checking?

In fact I'm struggling to find signal sources too now. This time I'm after them for unknown fragments. Any assistance on where/what works post 2.2 would be appreciated.

Edit: scratch that I derped and looked at Merope not 135-150ly away from that lol...

Up or down the plane it doesnt matter, distance matters :p 1000-1500 ls is where you want to be.

And yes, FD seems to be cleaning up missions / methods to gather material that require reloging in particular, may soon be the thing of the past, and I would welcome it
