"Unknown trailer" scale and in 2.3 or 2.4?

So, the guardians, an entire point-release of a triple-A title, were they supposed to be nifty little ship launched fighters, which everybody had access to, or were they some alien species who put up some rather shoddy stonework which had a penchant for crashing spaceships, and computers, of which only a couple of hundred people who followed it up on the forum threads actually managed to investigate?
Just wondering... I have an SLF but if I've missed 25% (20 if you include 2.0) of a paid DLC without a single inkling, I'm going to throw emoji.

End of beta is close so what's your thoughts about "unknown trailer";
https://youtu.be/PEQTj8dTOC0
1.Will it be in 2.3 or it is hype vaccine for 2.4?
2.will those alien caves and contacts be frequent or only few will find it
3. Will it be another cutscene or real interaction
4. Invasion?
5. Are there going to be surface graphics like those in trailer with rock spikes?
6. Scavanger and survival mehanics?
7. What color are your socks?
Mine are black, on left one is writing "saturday", on right one "friday"

It appears to be a corridor, not a cave (even Obsidian Ant said caves, switch the brightness or gamma up on your monitors, folks :D) - so my assumption is the structure is either a base or an alien capital ship.

We still have not found the Engineers Guardians and other than the ruins and the huge amount of text, they have not changed the game one iota. So far we have had nothing but hype unfortunately.

I honestly dont expect much. Not because they are doing this on purpose but because I dont yet think there are enough interactive tools in the game in order to tell a good story.

Completely agree.

How are we supposed to "find" anything reliably? Eyeball brown dust balls until the walls around us take on a semi permanent beige sheen? No thanks. I play games for fun, not tedium. Give us surface scanners that are useful for something more than upping the credit count for the beeping noise we hear while flying toward something.

And Aliens? Please. This game isn't ready for Aliens. I mean, seriously, how will they be implemented? Combat targets with slightly different shapes? Right now, NPC's in the game FEEL alien, being as they are just pictures and text. Until we find some form of interaction that makes humans feel, well, human...like, you know, in literally every other game in existence...introducing aliens is little more than a laughing stock joke. How alien will a differently shaped pirate feel? Aliens need to BE alien. Seem Alien. FEEL Alien. Otherwise, they're just another target in the crosshairs and no different game play wise than shooting AI pirates now.

We need more tools. More ways to tell a story. More ways for the galaxy to shape unique stories based on our actions, encounters, reputations, tasks, etc. More ways for the things we do to matter, to reflect on, haunt, provide boons, drawbacks, consequences, etc, for us, based on our input. Until the human parts of the galaxy FEEL human, there's no way to introduce aliens that are anything more than a cosmetic face lift to AI pirates.

Chances are it will be another triumph of soundscape design and artistic creativity.

Alas, it will also most likely be yet another failure of game design.

i generally agree!
we need more tools and mehanics like atmo-planets and legs, since we Know that is not coming soon-dro, i hoped for some kind of danger from pirates or aliens outside bubble while exploring so they damage my ship so i need to Search planets to collect repair Materials and some nice old outposts and abandoned facilities on those planets having Materials in them. And exploration tools.
More depth in exploration not just some dirt piles.
other than that i don't Know what else could bring me back in game!
