Unlimited speed for solo

Ok we all know this game balance immersion breaker called network engine.
But what if you're flying solo or alone far from other players/NPCs, can't we just get speed limit lifted from us?

Orbiting small moon at 2000m/s, or just suicide run of 10000m/s in asteroid fields, not supercruise but pure fun speed.
Obviously when NPC/player enters proximity you get speed reduction for gameplay reasons but this fun cruise man that would be awesome.

Also engineering faster FSD that can supercruise faster? Please?

No - it is technically not plausible as Solo play is the exact same as other game modes with the sole exception it hides other CMDRs; as PvE goes, you are still in the same universe as Open, so there's very limited technical avenue for such an implementation - and it's not desirable as provided you have an influence on the BGS, you are expected to play by the same rules to avoid unfair BGS shifting from Solo.

There's no speed cap on SRVs, so in a clear instance they can get quite a bit of speed (the record is just over 1300 m/s at which point it reached escape velocity, but you could probably get one to go quite a bit faster than that on a higher-G planet)

Just remember to collect a *lot* of repair synthesis in advance since it'll take you just as long to safely slow down again afterwards, and the bounces will not be good for your suspension.

No. The background simulation of the world still runs at the same speed, regardless of the mode. Giving players in solo mode the ability to magically whizz around without limitations between stations would put players in the other modes at a disadvantage.

Stitch is right.

.

There is no speed limit on ships either if you override the thrusters FA-OFF, takes a gravity well to achieve it though. You can safely get a 2000+ tonne T-10 up to 10,000 m/s in level flight if you wish.

As far as speed limits in normal space, it's not going to change, thrusters are software limited, pretty much the same as cars/trucks/ships/aircraft..

I also saw a video where some guys got Clipper to quite a ridiculous speed using a Force Shell cannon. It was highly amusing! :D

I seem to remember Scott Manley building up an Imp Eagle that could quite literally break all speed limits with FA off...

In fact, this one:
