I do not remember unlocking these however i noticed I could buy one from a station I am at.

IF I can buy one does that mean I have unlocked it or are they for sale in limited places even without unlocking?

I can't get in game right now to check and besides I am already at one of the titan wrecks so would rather not pack up to go and check if I can find out for sure here.

If you're able to buy them you must have unlocked them already...

But the stations to buy them are still limited to those with a human tech broker afaik...

Just make sure to visit a station with a human tech broker and buy a CRCR before doing that ... just to be sure...

If you had a carrier I would suggest storing them as they seem to get a new use every so often, or you could donate them to people trying to unlock an engineer.

Grab a thargoid heart from the Cacijo wreckage and throw in ten of your meta alloys to unlock the thargoid bobblehead for your cockpits, at a nearby tech broker

While grabbing the heart you might even find a Titan Drive component as bonus
