Engineers Unlocking Todd Mcquinn ? I don't get it....

I just don't get it....

I dunno if it is a bug or what...

Since I got the intel for him, I accumulate 7200 credits of bounties. I went to his system once then I left. I do a lot of bounty hunter but the dam counter to unlock him stays at 7200 credits.

It says it unlocks when I give in 100,000 credits of bounty vouchers.

Now, is this related to normal bounty hunting (RES) or conflict zones?

Thanks in advance for any info / tips.

Any bounty voucher should work.
Conflict zones give you combat bonds. Is a different thing.

Sounds like a bug.
You did give him more than 7200cr worth in bounty vouchers?

Not a bug. You need ALLIANCE bounties.

edit
It was long time ago, I forgot the details, but the hunt for Alliance bounties was a drag - a Sidey or two, meager amount. So I've worked on an Alioth permit, and there on Alioth were juicy targets with large bounties on their heads. All Alliance bounties. I collected them in a day.

edit 2
And it was post buff. In the beginning it was only bounties issued by Blaster himself.

It has to be Alliance bounty get a KWS and go to Wolf 406 opposite Hamilton Gateway is a High REZ, Scan every wanted guy with the KWS then murder them. You will easily get 1m in Alliance in an hour.

Thats about 10m actual bounty but only the alliance one is for Todd.

I had just unlocked Todd a couple of days ago and it accepted all bounties, not just Alliance. I had little over 100k in vouchers from simply traveling around the bubble minding my own business, with a KWS and killing random interdictors. Gathered both local as well as major faction vouchers. Todd took most of my vouchers, it just so happened that it took all minor factions ones and left me with just the major power ones.

You have to turn them in at his station...

I was starting to wonder if this was the missing piece of the puzzle for the OP?

I unlocked this guy so long ago, I don't remember all the details, but I also don't recall the unlock requirement being anything too terribly difficult. Unlike some of the other Engineers out there, who's unlock requirements are legendary! And not in a good way! ;)

Ok, after reading all of your answers (thank you very much for the help) I just realized why I do have 7200 credits for so long on the unlock criteria.

I stopped using the KWS while bounty hunting, so probably must be this.

I do not think I need to deliver bounties in his system since the unlock bar already went up and I never hunted in his system or nearby. I have be for so long in Imperial Space, I just moved into Federation space a few days ago.

In any case, I am going to get a KWS and see if there is any changes in the unlock bar.

This is really screwing with me, since I already unlocked other engineers.

Thank you guys.

The KWS should not be a necessary requirement.
The only thing the KWS does is give you more bounty money per kill.
The KWS has nothing to do with unlocking mr. Todd.

There are no res zones in wolf397 so going to wolf406 and using the kws gets the bounty faster.

Correction to my above post he accepts alliance bounty and bounty for factions in 397.

But 406 and kws is the fastest way to get it,2m gets you to level 3. 30m grade 5.

Ok, I have the game running in the background, I just went to my RES (Federation Space) and I just killed 2 Federal Corvette with a wanted status. I did a KWS on them first, I do know the bounty increases, but, isn't the KWS also to know if there is bounties with other factions? I am asking this, because, usually on this RES I do, with no KWS, I get the usual bounties, 1 for the faction of the system, 1 for the power in this case the Federation. Now, After those 2 kills, I got 3 bounties: 1 for the faction, 1 for federation and 1 for alliance. So, it seams (I may be wrong) the KWS also "reads" if there is more bounties on a particular target from other powers.

In any case, yea, I just docked and collect my bounties, but now I have to go to Alliance space to deliver them like you guys say.

Now, the doubt is, if my theory about the KWS seeing other bounties is true or not. If it is the case, I can stay in this system hunting.

Thats exactly that it does, it scans for bounties in other systems. So by going to an alliance system close to Todd with res sites you will get the alliance bounty very quickly.

just donate the bounties in todd planetary outpost, in the engineer workshop. Any bounty works!!!!

I hope the OP is reading this point because just turning these in at a Starport IS NOT going to count towards Todd's requirement. The OP MUST CLAIM THEM AT TODD's BASE! Not a station or outpost.

At least that is what I am starting to remember from way back when I unlocked this guy. Pretty sure that is the case cause the more I think about it, I think I had some confusion with turning them in at a local station and not having them count towards Todd's unlock bar.

Late response. Sorry.

That's exactly right. I just unlocked the guy, I can say, my multi cannons with overcharge are "nice" :D

Thanks guys for all the help.

Fly safe
