Unofficial xbox one controller no micophone/headset plug

Hi all

My Official xbox one controller broke and i brought a cheaper non official controller *mark (under control) and getting home realized i was was not able to connect the official xbox one headset/microphone as there is no opening (plughole) to connect said headset microphone.

Had a look on google but could not find any real info but would it be possible to head into a game with the wired controller (under control) and use the other to connect to a party chat using the wireless official xbox controller to chat and just use the mic head set. (i would have the two controllers on and use one too play wired and have the other controller (headphones mic) beside me just to chat..

I did read up n bluetooth etc but is this possible with just the headset mic?.

All help is appreciated and hope this post is understandable .

Hmmm, probably. Before I bought a new controller (its headset socket didn't work) I'd stream the game to the Xbox app on my tablet and plug my headphones in that, while actually playing it on the TV.
So two audio output sources should work

Cheers bongo i tested the two controller thing and it seems to work and will use you're option if needed.. Thanks for the information just hope the Thargoids do not create interference between the two controllers.

Pretty sure it's possible, my friend says that's what he does as his standard controller's mic input doesn't work while his Elite controller's does.

Copilot is not required. Although, I guess you automatically use it now. You could always have 2 controllers assigned to the same profile and copilot, even before they've added that assistance app. The app was created to make players aware that that the feature existed.

Yes it did work as you posted without doing the copilot option (in other games also). I just responded to other posters to make them feel more at home and appreciated within the ED community . J/K

The xbox console repeatedly turns itself on while i am away about every 6/7/8 hours and i am not sure why and it will probably wear down the components. This has been happening since i have done the above configuration. (i thourght it was the catz and was prodding them every time they went near the box = two traumatized cats) J/K.

I do not have the kinect , also heard that it creates distortion & echo's in a few games and is not really appreciated by other player's.

NOTE: for the repeat turn on its an xbox bug that will be fixed by bill soon.tm.

Yeah, do that if you're looking to get muted by everyone.
Never use a kinect as your mic unless you set it up properly.

Is your console set to instant on, or energy save? Nevermind. I read above
