Newcomer / Intro UnPin To Trade Upgrade Materials?

On my last upgrade I travelled to 15 different traders to find what I needed. Every one of them displayed a goose egg for the material. After I maxxed my upgrade and just for curiosity I checked a couple traders as I was bopping around and guess what...they BOTH had what I couldn't find when I needed it.

Am now on my fifth trader for my next needed material. Goose eggs again so far.

My grassy-knoll conspirator nature makes me think the programmers thought it would be a good idea to deny us the things they just told us to go find.

If I unpin my blueprint will traders actually start having what I need? Is it a bad idea to tip your hand about what you're looking for? Maybe I should wait until I have everything I need before doing any rolls?

Should I take off my tinfoil hat or is there a grain of truth here?

What material are you trying to find exactly? I've never heard of a material trader not having materials. I have a feeling the interface is confusing you.

Just to be clear, when you want to trade for a material, you click the one you want, first. Then the one you want to trade for it. Then choose the amount.

The numbers shown are the amount of each material that YOU have.

Okay, I get it now.

When I clicked on what I wanted to give up it always showed 0/0 and the "confirm" button was greyed out. Made me think a trade wasn't possible.

But I see the arrows now where I increase the amount of what I'm offering in the trade.

I get it now. sorry.

Nothing to be sorry about. The interface isn't exactly intuitive :) Glad you got it sorted.
