Unpopular Opinon

I have to admit, at first I was very disappointed with the lack of killable workers or even jeeps. But after watching the Isla Muerte gameplay on IGN, I realize that it was really the best choice for this game. I know that some people will hate this design choice, and everyone has their right to an opinion. But now seeing how fast diseases spread if not quickly controlled, and how fast feeders can run out, it does make sense that they had to be indestructible in order to not make every single time refilling a carnivore feeder a stressful event, especially for some people who would rather be an eye in the sky rather than control each ranger team individually. On paper, having killable workers or rangers sounds amazing, but at the same time the same people who cry about it here and especially on the subreddit would be incredibly angry and possibly even more whiney when they had to drop 50 grand every time a spino ate their rangers. But in the end I hope this can bring a little bit of reasoning to people who are disappointed by this design choice, and I truly hope Frontier sticks with it for the betterment of the community and the gameplay in general. There are 15 days until launch people, lets just be happy we have this beautiful game![noob]

I have a mixed feeling on this still as there's too wide a compromised space to be ignored.

I need to play the game myself to make a conclusion.

That's what I always said from the start, they have so many tasks to do in disaster moments that it will be impossible to do it when they are constantly getting killed.

Exactly. People don't realize how frustrating it would be having to spend thousands of dollars every day to get new jeeps or lawsuits from dead workers.

Pretty sure we already had a thread about the exact same topic not too long ago. Also I don't understand how there is still no middle ground after all the discussion about it. Yes, we get it. It would be tough to manage it. But no one asked for it to happen all the time. Let's say 1 in 10 maybe...also I still think they should just give us the option to toggle it on/off. Then everybody would be happy.

I 90% agree, though I also think it would be nice to have the option as part of some difficulty settings. Need to do some work in a carnivore paddock? Get an ACU helicopter overhead and tranq anything that comes close to the rangers' jeep. You can even just set it up as a task: Assign helicopter to escort a ranger jeep. Automated but still occupies a resource that you can't use for something else. If there's a breakout elsewhere in the park, then you have to either wait until the ranger jeep reaches safety or risk leaving them unprotected.

I am interested to see what a trex will look like doing it.

First thing I am going to do when I get a Rex is hop into the Jeep and drive into the enclosure with the rex in it and get it to attack and chase a jeep. With the plan I have for Nublar it's going to be crazy.

Maybe if they keep developing the game this could be added however looking at that ign video for the 2nd island and all the issues throwing in workers constantly being killed/jeeps destroyed and knowing there would be a cost and time to replace them and then it keeps happening wouldn't be fun gameplay.

It is not ideal/realistic but i think from the play ability its the right choice from seeing a snippet of the game.

We'll all get to find out in 2 weeks anyway.

Although i guess an on/off switch for it would allow people to choose and maybe when people are fully versed in the mechanics of the game it would add another challenge layer.
