Hi, first time poster o7
I just started actually exploring as a habit, and was the first to discover a few planets but the journal file for the session of uploading the data doesn't seem to want to be read by either EDSM directly, or EDDiscovery. Does exiting directly to desktop (via ingame menu to do so) kill the journal file?

I checked EDSM and those planets seem to have been scanned before anyway? I'm assuming maybe that was on a private session?
Further, on checking EDSM, the timestamp for me scanning those worlds is WAY off, I literally uploaded the scan data yesterday and did the scans then or the day before (I didn't really use the surface scanner prior). I recently uploaded a few years of journal entries (there was months of not playing in the middle), but I am pretty sure I didn't end up double-scanning this planet.
I guess my query is what happened to the journal entry for my last gameplay ;-; I can attach if needed.
UPDATE: The data for my prior session was with my browser set to GMT0 and that's why it seemed a few hours off, the other scan data being many sessions ago was probably right being I'm a data hoarder. Main problem solved thanks to Factabulous
