"M-m-m-m-monster Kill!!!!"Thanks for the heads up. I played the original UT in '99 and several of the later versions for almost 10 years. I liked the original best for its fast pace (oh, and the announcer of course: "HEADSHOT!!!"). I'll give it a try.

Anyone remember these guys ? Levi clan who all used numbers rather than names. Undisputed champions of that era.

Just watched some kid playing the new version on Twitch and I realised a few things:
- It looks awesome, really nice.
- Made me very nostalgic
- Realised based on what he was doing I do not have the reflexes to play any more, plus decked my wrists in a long time ago from excessive game play (8-12 hours a day+) and really don't want to aggravate them.
So .. if you guys play/stream post here and I will come support you

i play planetside 2 a lot and love it , this just seems like a cheap attempt to copy the same sort of gameplay
Or a copy of the original Unreal Tournament from 1999. Never played it and I'm sure it's a fine game but I really can't see how Planetside can predate Unreal.
I sunk more hours than I care to count into UT99. Tactical Ops was better than Counter Strike as far as I'm concerned. Just a shame all the sequels sucked. I've been keeping an eye on the reboot, and Phobos looks quite nice, but I'm waiting for it to flesh out a bit ere I decide whether to sink my flak into it.
Played UT GOTY for too many years, watching this - the last time I picked it up it was a little rough around the edges but making progress. Waiting for it to grow a bit more before I jump in again. Unfortunately it doesn't use the GOTY classic style, more like the 2k3/2k4 style which doesn't gel as well for me.
