Unregistered Comms Beacon?

Hi Folks,

I'm sitting 30m off of an unregistered comms beacon, but I can't seem to do anything. My ship didn't scan it when I got within normal range and I've tried firing my Data Link Scanner at it, but the DLink doesn't seem to thing there's anything to scan.

Something here, or just a red herring?

Update - after just sitting off of the beacon, it sounded a alarm and then started reading off numbers and phonetic alphabet entries. It did this continuously for over 10 minutes and counting ...

Sometimes you get the Wiki, and sometimes the Wiki gets you.

Thanks for the pointer.

Still doesn't answer the question of "useful" or "red herring"?

Useful if you want to track down whatever it's hinting at, and do it yourself. Less so, if you don't mind finding the answer somewhere else, such as from Canonn's website or whatever. These usually lead to abandoned settlements and crash sites and the like.

Where is it, and what's the message?

Always possible you've found a new one!

I'm looking into this same beacon in SOL (near earth's moon) for the first time. This is the full message then it just loops.
