Unselect current destination

Unselect current destination. Why isn't this a key binding, yet?

You're in the middle of a dogfight. Shields are down and you're taking damage. It's time to go. You hit your jump key and . . . "Frameshift cancelled. destination target obscured." Oh well, no problem, I didn't need to go to a whole different star system anyway. I'll just jump to Supercruise and-"Frameshift cancelled destination target obscured." Huh. No key to deselect my current destination.

I frantically dig through my Navigation Pane, scroll through my list of jump targets and manually unlock the obscured target, so I can get away from my attackers. And all the while, I am are getting the blistering blue crap pounded out of me by 2 or more ships. This is not fun. It is not even logical in a science fiction universe that you should have to do this.

I think by default, the 'L' key is engage supercruise. :)
Check your bindings.

On my Xbox gamepad (for my PC) Y is Hyperspace. Y+Up is Supercruise.

as the previous poster mentioned - there are different keybinds possible for just a supercruise.
you can use the same key to drop from supercruise even if you have a hyperjump destination selected
