Untouchable systems?

Hella.

Im on my way to Sagittarius once again and i found this:

A0981AB9D6DE397A0F92B9067D063121E97035D6

That 2 pinkie stars that cannot be focused or clicked. Somebody knows why? Is this normal? Never seen this before. Is not that far from the bubble (1k-2k i think it was), it is kinda weird.

They're the two T-dwarfs in the system. If you zoom in on a targeted multistar system in realistic mode it shows you all the stars and sometimes they can get spread quite far out. If you stop having BLEIA EOHN YY-K A35-1 targeted they'll just disappear...

That confused me first time I saw it, too. I almost always fly with the map in "filter by star class" mode when I'm exploring, so I never saw when they implemented this change to the Realistic mode.

Yeah, i think that happened to me haha.

Thank you all :)

I never fly with realistic mode turned on on the Gal map.

I never fly with anything else for extended periods - it loads quicker in realistic and I generally don't bother with route filters. Give me the full spectrum for my lucky dip :)

Tried an AFG filter for a couple of nights to see if I got more ELW, found none, turned it off, two jumps later found one sitting 50ls out from an M class red dwarf...

Respect to you mate you are hard-core. Im.a mere padawan by comparison to your adventures and I mean that in all seriousness:)

I was also unaware it loads quicker. Must try that.

There have been a couple of updates since I last checked - having just checked again it seems to have gone away. There might be an extra half second of load time on non-realistic but not much more than that if anything. It used to be marked but, at least from where I'm sat, it no longer seems to be.

I'm still keeping it unfiltered - I won't consider the game finished until I've stumbled across an ELW in a system where the hottest star is L class - so I might as well stay realistic because I now recognise star types quicker that way than with the colour coded blob versions...

Wait...did I understand correctly that realistic mode will show the stars that are located within the same system as main star? It would be nice to know if a system with a non-scoopable main star does in fact contain a scoopable secondary star...

It shows secondary stars and their approximate alignments, but I don't think the graphic reliably shows the star types. For that, you need to click on the star, then look at the info tab. Even for Unexplored stars, you can still see all the star types present, even if those stars are actually in "planetary" orbits around a superheavy star.
