General Up yields of mined tritium

Some folk won't be happy unless they can fill their holds up with just one press of the I win button.

The same lot would probably complain their holds are far too small if they got that wish.

I am not saying I want a "I won Elite" button, nor am I saying I want a insta-full hold of tritium. I am not sure where from or why you are drawing that conclusion.

What I AM saying is that I'd like to see an increase in the amount of tritium one can glean, through mining, to fuel ones own fleet carrier. At present, that tritium appears to be fairly hard to find and asteroids, when found, having a lowish percentage of the mineral.

A 500ly jump takes ~85 units of tritium. To replenish that, it can take an hour.

Now, the countrr-argument to that is "well buy the damn stuff before you leave".

I would retort "I do. But with the reduction in price of, say, painite, that's not so attractive and the hour I spend mining painite is the hour I could spend mining tritium".

If I'm going on a very long journey, I'd like to know it would be easIER to get fuel than it is now.

Note the capitalisation.

I expect this to get shot down but here goes anyway.

The current amount of tritium mined per hours feels too low. At least it does in my opinion.

I'd like to see an increase of perhaps 50% both in terms of amount an asteroid holds and how many asteroids actually contain tritium in the first place.
I agree, though this is only a fraction of the issue.

Mining yields need to be upped for all low-tier mineables. This becomes problematic for Tritium due to it's price... so really tritium should get knocked down to =~ 5k.... which might become an issue for all the rebalances FD did of jump ranges.

The issue never was the jump range/fuel efficiency though, only how difficult it was to get a hold of Tritium... but it's easier for FD to just tweak numbers than fix game activity issues I guess.

But the fact it's just as quick to get a hold full of Painite as it is to get a hold full of Methane Clathrates/Methanol Monohydrate Crystals etc. is pretty farcical considering their relative values/market demand.
