Thank you for all the love on the North America Animal Pack so far! We are thrilled to see your reactions to the pack and the habitat builds for our adorable new animals coming in. As always, thank you for your feedback and for raising any issues - or sneaky flexicolour additions - that you've found!

This update should resolve various issues reported by our community, alongside a few tweaks - are you ready for more sociable Alligators? 😉

General Bug Fixes and Improvements
  • Animals
    • We have adjusted the American Alligator's social group size based on feedback. Initial group sizes had been chosen based on the aggression potential shown by the species and some zoos only keeping solitary animals
      • New group sizes are as follows:
        • Mixed: 1 male, 5 females
        • Male bachelor groups: 6 males
        • Female bachelor groups: 6 females
      • As part of this change, we have reduced the additional land, water and deep water space requirements for the American Alligator, so that bigger group sizes do not balloon the overall space requirements
    • Fixed a typo in the US-English version of the American Alligator's Zoopedia referring to the Saltwater Crocodile instead
    • Fixed a typo in the US-English version of the North American Beaver's Zoopedia not properly describing its barrier requirements
    • Fixed the fur fading out too quickly on Moose
    • Beaver Dam female animation fixed where previously mud particles were floating incorrectly
  • Scenery
    • Fixed an issue where some of the Opaque Glass Panel assets flexicolour channels did not function correctly
    • Fixed an issue where guest wouldn't teleport if a Path Barrier is blocking the exit of a Transport Ride
    • Animal Talk Seating Improvements:
      • Animal Talk Seats now have buttons to link them to an Animal Talk Point
      • "Use Seating Room Only" has been replaced with "Allow Guest Standing" with functionality of toggle flipped (existing seating will adjust to reflect this change)
      • Improvements to UI text and flow for setting up Animal Talk Seating
      • General stability fixes for Animal Talk Seating
  • Guests
    • Guest navigation stability fixes
  • Game Modes
    • Sandbox/Franchise/Challenge
      • Added snow on load to Tundra Sculpted maps to match flat versions
  • UI
    • Fixed the game sometimes becoming unresponsive when switching tabs in Animal Trading
    • Corrected translations for the random scenery rotation shortcut key control setting
  • Audio
    • Fixed the audio continuing to play through the speaker from the preview, after clicking cancel
  • Stability
    • Fixed a potential crash when rapidly switching filters in the Zoopedia
    • General stability fixes
  • Performance
    • General performance fixes
 
Thanks guys, now we need an update so 1 Animal talk point can be used for multiple animals, like for example if one of my Habitats has 3 different species of Animals let me set it up that january is used for 1 march for the other and may for the 3rd and so on. would also love if the range was increased a bit of the talk points
 
Thanks for these fixes, unfortunatly, no news about the detection bug of wather depth, or about aquatic animals passing through fences when there is water on both sides :cry:
These bugs ruin the game and don't allow some of us to use animals, yet we bought them :cry:
Have you checked your topic? Because the issues you've been talking about seem to be related to your save game rather than the overall dynamics; given that the majority of the players no longer have these issues and your game crashes when you try to remove the water. :)

Oh, indeed, I see other people with the same issue on other groups, and we're searching why it happens, but thanks for your answer, I'll check that !
 
So I just encountered this annoying issue again with the floating platform not working properly that was supposed to be looked into since Africa pack. Is there any info on this? Because we got two more animals that should be able to use this enrichment item but it is not working.

I just dont understand why this is not enough water to be used properly. It all worked in Aquatic pack, but there must have been made some change or something. This amount of water is ridicolously high compared to what animals need to deep dive so I am not sure why it is not working still. It is basically unusable in any kind of realistic enclosure especially for small animals such as penguins :(

I just dont understand why this is not enough water to be used properly. It all worked in Aquatic pack, but there must have been made some change or something. This amount of water is ridicolously high compared to what animals need to deep dive so I am not sure why it is not working still. It is basically unusable in any kind of realistic enclosure especially for small animals such as penguins :(

Not sure, but it looks like the area available below is fine, but the area around the float is not, and maybe the feeder and the duck are interfering with the available area.

Jumped quickly to the game and deleted both the feeder and the rubber duck but it made no difference. Also made way bigger area of water but it just keep saying the same thing no matter what. I know Rudi also complained about it and saw several other people mentioning it so it cant be just me. No idea, but seems like a bug. The weird part is that we keep getting aquatic animals that are supposed to use this item, so it is weird to me that the devs have not encountered this issue while testing new animals.

Hi both! I've just checked in with the dev team and it's still very much being investigated!
 
My floating platform is also bugged and unusable, and last night doing the new Jameson timed scenario, both of my Grizzly Bears persistently swam through their barrier into the open water beyond. Just phased right through it. Unfortunately Jameson is chock-full of large lakes and ponds with water on both sides of barriers. Hence, escaping over and over, and the scenario doesn't allow you to add or remove water. 😕
 
I'm addicted to stadium building - great feature . . . and they work even more magnificently - full houses at 210 guests and no standing peeps blocking their views - Thanks for the great update :)
