We're halfway through March, and we've yet to get a proper bug fix patch for the 3.3 update that went live LAST YEAR. We've had a couple very minor point updates to deal with a very small fraction of the bugs (ironically some being seen as 'features' by many, like the 500+ LY jump range), but not a proper 3.3.1 bug fix patch. Considering both the number and severity of the bugs in 3.3, I find this both surprising and very disheartening. This time last year we already had our third major bug fix patch (3.0.3), with 3.0.4 being released just over a week later.

I personally don't mind waiting until late 2020 for new content, but please Frontier, don't neglect to fix your current game in the meantime.... Otherwise you'll start losing even your loyal fans.

They've said that they're releasing new content every 3-4 months as I recall, so I wouldn't be surprised to find the fixes for 3.3 are in that first content drop.

Which doesn't excuse the time it's taken them, granted. There should have been a fix for at least some of the Stuff What Is Broken before now.

Ive only had the odd one surrounding a few conflict zones but the game seems fine to me.

I'm not saying maintenance mode (because there is no maintenance), but... maintenance mode :rolleyes:

Meanwhile, quick, buy some limited offer iridescent paintjobs.

(No, I'm not bitter, certainly not about the bugs, and especially not about the thargoid/starport related ones...)

Well, be fair Old Duck, there's only a skeleton crew left on maintaining ED as is for all bugs and updates for the next two years. The majority of the 100+ devs are working on the late (oh so secret but defo exciting) 2020 new era content - which is totally different from the devs working on Planet Coaster & Jurassic World Evolution updates & content; and definitely not those devs working on the brand new (also secret) IP that's coming out just after in 2021.

We've had 3 client patches and 3 server patches that I am aware of and the truly broken stuff was fixed (mass lock bug, bizarre system states, constant and unending war). Don't get me wrong there are still some issues, and some crapness, but to say nothing has been done is not accurate. At all. Yes, they could do better, though.

What!?! which bit of the last patch notes' " - Reinstated the ADS module. Don't tell Drew." was hard to understand?!?
Mind you it's only a matter of time before someone mentions the " - fixed elephant butt leather on all platforms but PS4. We're looking at 2022 for that. Maybe sooner." item and sets off you-know-who ...

Well, They've probably rolled the latest bug fixes into the next update, which I suspect will be coming in April.

Technically, we have had 3.3.1, it's now 3.3.5.

I suspect what you're really after is 3.4 or do you think we'll be going to 4.0?

This is probably another one of those times where FDev could communicate better. Just give us a heads-up on whether to expect a patch and a new release, or just a new release containing both.
