Update 5 - broken DSS heatmap

When applying filters in the DSS, I don't understand why "ALL" has fewer mapped areas than a specific filter. Take a look at the screen shots below. The planet is less blue with "All" than the specific geo/bio filters.

I think something is still messed up with the "heatmap" and geological sites.

Went to test Fumaroles yesterday and no fumaroles were at indicated locations.
Gonna try a few more planets today just to see if maybe it was a bad spot, or bad RNGesus roll.

I spent 3 hours looking for bark mounds in areas indicated on the heat map, not one found, and they were the only biological or geological on the planet -

it seems like they just wanted to have the feature in there and did not test it very well if at all, I ended up with eyestrain trying to see bacterias the other day even on Ultra graphic setting.

It needs rolled back is what it needs. This is another "pie in the sky" idea like the sampler mini-game that apparently was farmed out to a bargain basement development shop.

This new exploration mode is utter garbage and has completely killed my favored playstyle...exploration.
Utter garbage.
In this day an age, in the game, we should be able to pinpoint things on the surface. The lore is already in the game, the game already had this feature for a long time.

Suddenly, gone. Thanks, FDev.

I'm looking at bodies where there were Brain Tree locations in Horizons and I'm at a 50% failure rate when I go by what the not-a-heat-map tells me. Of course, that could also be a 50% failure rate for Brain Tree distribution, but the DSS sure thinks they're still there.

I guess this makes it a 25% failure rate: I just located a single Brain Tree on the fourth body. Now I'm out looking for more.
