Update/Expansion Cadence

Great foundation of a game - played from solo through release and had a blast but am planning on taking a break for a spell, maybe until an expansion or feature release. This got me thinking when that might be?

Have looked around, but am wondering if I missed any word of expansion/feature/content release cadence. Any official word?
If not, maybe the frontier guys could comment?

The directions sound great - and have been keeping up with the news letters/videos - but have not found anything discussing their expansion cadence.
EvE (pls don't shoot me) for example has a couple a year. WoW (though I do not play) I believe has a much longer cycle.

Looks like Frontier might have committed to not discussing specific plans from reading that other thread, but was hoping that somewhere they'd mentioned "expansion planned for release in 20XX"..

well here is something for a fact that i can say, braben DOES want and has used the term "when" talking about expansions, he has mentioned numerous times about having programs in place to have the planteray and interior expansions
