Update for Epic users receiving "Skartlet Krait" a lot.

Ok, so this is from an official email I got in response to a ticket I put in, just thought you might like to know, they're on it, but don't know when it'll be solved;

Hey there (Llandrenel),

Thanks for getting in touch with us and apologies for the delayed response.

So this is actually an issue we have become aware of. It seems to be affecting mainly Epic games players, and so we have opened an internal investigation for this.
Unfortunately we do not have an ETA on a fix for the disconnections, however rest assured the development team are on the case. :)
In the meantime, I have sent them your netlog file as an extra helping hand towards the team.
I do apologize for the inconvenience of this issue, however please do hang in there, we will try to get this sorted as soon as possible!

So yea, Epic is getting far more disconnects than steam, they know about it and are actively trying to fix it.

Thank you, I hope this will be resolved soon, fortunately I have my main account via Steam and it is okay, but that Epic one is unplayable, almost :) I tried to get that "new player feeling" again :) And it failed miserably, for now.

The only emails FD send me are by snowflake mods complaining about me possibly having the chance of maybe offending an insignificantly tiny subsections of some insignificant group that probably wouldn't be offended anyway.

Just because I was rubbing my engorged scarlet Krait all over their sleeping faces after putting onionhead in their lavien brandy.

Just got "Scarlet Krait"ed a few minutes ago for the second time tonight while running missions. When I logged back in, the game said I was "Wanted" for no reason. I paid a fine, which apparently meant I was arrested and was sent to a prison 300+ light years from Ceos.

Yeah good news on them fixing this because it needs fixing :mad:

Yea, if you got wanted/bounty find an interstellar contact, https://www.edsm.net/en_GB can help you do that, and pay them instead. Fines you can pay anywhere and it's just money, but bounties/wanted can only be paid at the IC if you don't want to go to jail.

Yes I was a bit bleary eyed and didn't realize this.

It's not the money I cared about though, it's that this error leaves your ship in the game long enough to get said fine after you've been disconnected.

"They're on it" for the feebie Epic accounts. Good.

But what about the XBox accounts we payed for. I play both and XBox has always gotten way more disconnects and instancing issues than these recent, few troubles I've had on epic.

Consoles Matter !!

To be fair, a lot of that is likely microsoft. I have tonnes of problems when I play any of my MS/xbox games online. But all my other games are fine.

To be fair. Likely the internet connection is the cause 95% of the problems

But it is so easy not to look for problem you are experiencing but just blaming it on MS, Frontier or whatever

They have literally admitted there is a problem that has nothing to do with our personal connection that is linked with Epic. So in this case, yes, it is Epic's fault, and no, it has nothing to do with our connections. Plus, when all other connections, games, services and platforms run smoothly, but you consistently have problems with 1 specific service, then there's generally a reason for that too. It's not like we're seeing smoke in a forest and thinking "foam party!", when you see smoke, it means fire, and right now that smoke is pointing directly at Epic.

Why yes, a lot of people did. Including me for this alt account. But;

1. I have a fully functional paid account on steam that I bought at full price when Horizons was still DLC and not included in the base game price.
2. The free deal is now gone and some people probably will purchase it on Epic rather than steam. (God only knows why you'd choose that if you didn't have to though.)

for anyone who still get krait visiting you just go to starport services / hit the store button,browse it for few seconds and leave,then you can leave station and scarlet krait will leave you alone for next station docking,just rinse repeat and never be disconnected..

if station/outpost has no store then you are gonna talk with scarlet krait anyway :(

Exactly. But I wouldn't judge Epic "so fast," it MIGHT be their problem, but it might be not. Sure thing so far is Elite is unplayable with Epic Launcher. But f*cks could be done on both sides, please don't judge so quickly :)
