Update NPC ship spawns to include Python mk2, Mandalay, Corsair, etc.

Frontier has done an amazing job adding the new ships into the game for the players, but unfortunately it does not look like the NPC ship generation tables have been updated in a very long time.

It would really be nice to be able to see Python Mk2s and Corsairs in Combat Zones and Resource Extraction zones. It would be great seeing Type 8s mixed in with other cargo vessels. It'd be great seeing NPCs with Mandalays and Cobra Mk5s.

With the launch of the Panther Clipper, it would really be great to see Elite add this ship and all other other new ones into the game world so that we could interact with them more.

The Corsair has only just come out. I believe the other new ships are in game, I’ve definitely seen a Mandy

Oh really? That's wonderful. I have yet to see any of the new ships in-game. I assumed they hadn't been added yet.

Could you please screen shot the next time you see a NPC flying any of the new ships?
I'm not trying to be a "word Fdev don't allow", I just haven't seen a single NPC flying one. I've seen lots of players in them, but never a NPC.

Happy to, but I’m not online all that much ATM. I’ve only been in solo so it’s definitely NPCs.

Hmm, can't seem to find it. Certainly players have reported seeing them though, maybe I was just thinking about that.

I haven't seen any of the new ships flown by NPCs yet, but good find that the Mandalay is out there. It must be coded to be rare!

Just to take a small, reasonable request and expand it enormously... I think there's scope to add a lot of value by looking at more in-depth procedural generation of what factions use what ships. Ideally that could look at ship choices, loadouts, ship kits and paint jobs.

It's not a trivial thing, but it could be a lot of fun. One pirate faction might be mysteriously wedded to the use of Federal ships, another might become known for their bright red Mandalays spamming Packhounds, and so on. The system for determining what ships you see feels a bit stale at this point... worst example being the identical "FDL and Vulture wing" missions.

NPCs should fly new ships

I would really, really love to see NPCs rocking the Python MkII, Type-8, Mandalay, and Cobra MkV. You can even think of it as advertising the newer ships in a more tangible form than just banners in stations. I'm not sure if this would upset people to see NPCs flying ships they still don't have...
