A snail's pace? Seriously? Come on. A major patch every month is breakneck speed compared to most other games.

Major patch = no, these are not major patches.
They hardly fix any of the existing problems and seem to be introducing more issues.

Compared to other games?
Not sure which games you have been playing, but the ones I do have not had game breaking flaws like ED. I've never ever owned a game, where I have shelved it for the fear that my ship may explode for no reason.
I mean, in all the history of gaming for me, never have I had a game where I just die for no reason.

Weeks ago this problem was on the forums, as per all the other hacks, exploits etc, and nothing has been fixed.
The logic here reminds me of th discussion about " does time really exist " unfortunately when I shut my eyes, the problems are still very real.

I compare it to a horse race, the race has started but FD's 3 legged horse has started running backwards with no jockey and a bad case of Ebola

For some reason it's never managed to stick in my memory whether it's CTRL+SHIFT+G or CTRL+ALT+G. Apparently with the last patch it has stopped being one and started being the other (or so I've read on here...). Is that what's catching you out?
