Update policy

Will someone please give us a update please . This is taking to long....
Surely it can't take this long to update your policy on console full transfer?

And maybe because it's not policy holding them up but negotiations with the people who actually have a say in what happens, MS and Sony. A policy is certainly easy to change, but it doesn't get you out of legal agreements with other parties! We don't know what's holding it up, but it's almost certainly not just internal policy!
 
The crux of the matter is "communication" .

They could at least post a weekly update and let us know where they are in the process.

The silence is not good enough! Not professional.
I have recently posted questions regarding this topic to developers, moderators on the the forum and still silence, no response....

Maybe you should join the other thread where this is being discussed. And did you really think moderators, community members, players of the game who are just the same as us except they assist FDEV with managing the forum and keeping it under control, are going to have answers to your questions? I would suggest badgering moderators on the forum with question about internal FDEV processes is not going to make you any friends!

They mentioned it on their Thurs stream. Still working it out. The news is: no news yet.

They have returned to doing livestreams. If they have any news to give it will be given out during a livestream, an official post in the news subforum (or a random post on twitter).

No one is is going to give an answer to such a question just because someone started another thread on the subject.

Both, but am able to understand basic english.
(and am aware that since announcing that transfers were being investigated, that the normal credit transfer across platforms (the only existing solution) has been suspended pending the investigation)
 
Maybe give it another year. Just to squeeze out a few more Arx from any hopeful console players before they tell them it was all for nothing. Need to milk every last drop first.

Im like one of those 1940s filmstars, I just can't help spreading the love. If the ladies aren't interested, I don't mind, but I've yet to have this happen. ......jeez even as a joke I can't write that down seriously!
 
It's standard Frontier stuff, they can't tell you anything about the process and they can't tell you how long it's going to take. Apparently it's a complete mystery to them as well.

Never mind, be patient and wait, because that turned out so well last time.

The hold up is probably tied to microsoft and sony. And as such they can't talk about it.

If you want to speed up the process, you should ask your console support. They are very likely to be the one who are the issue.

The thing is, there is nothing stopping FDEV from letting console players who migrate to PC access to all of their Arx purchases. It’s a digital currency fully owned by FDEV. Yes consoles may have taken a cut out of those purchases, but FDEV can literally print “money” with it, it doesn’t cost them anything beyond those console players not being forced to spend $$ on Arx again (assuming they even would, why would they?).

It would go a long way and show a lot of goodwill for FDEV to simply assure console players that “no matter what happens with the data transfers from consoles, we promise you that we can give you your cosmetics or Arx if you migrate to PC.”

Why have they not said something like that? There is no reliance on any console makers decision for FDEV to be able to do something like this.

Unfortunately silence may often be the most professional thing someone or a company can do. Yabber and pointless words are usually far less professional. Or helpful.

Patience, although stretched, is all you can have at the moment.

They couldn't say 'we need to speak to Sony and Microsoft' to give some sort of clarification? Is it a commercial secret that Frontier speak to Sony and Microsoft?

One might have thought, if Frontier were focused on players spending, that they would have made an extraordinary effort to get EDO onto consoles, aftr all, that is more sales and revenue coming in.

I chuckle when others suggest that FD are only 'cash grabbing', it appears to be exactly the opposite!
