Update request about crime update

It has now been a month since the Crime Update Discussion was launched and glued at the top of the forum.

I was wondering if anyone official (*waves* Hi Sandro :) ) could perhaps update us on the current thoughts and likely timescale for implementing the sticky-bounty changes.

I'm assuming that it is still likely to be as originally stated (delayed pay-off rolling over into non-expiring fine)?

Will it be something that's waiting for 1.3 to roll out (as it may need beta testing)?

I'm more curious what the current plan is - whether they're still even going to implement the change (which I believe they should do), what the current "official" thoughts about it are (as they may have changed since Sandro's original post), and timescales - it may, for example, not be slated for inclusion in 1.3 but in a patch further down the line.

Good luck with that one.

I'm afraid this is one topic I am very cynical about. I saw the crime update discussion as a deliberate delaying tactic. They already had a perfectly good (on paper, anyway) crime system in the DDA. They deliberately did not introduce it before general release, nor in the first two dot versions, even though it was very badly needed. I put that down to going out of their way to target a new audience (the pew-pew crew), and damn the consequences. I hope I am wrong, but it does not look good.
