Update to previous locked thread.

Hi Cmdrs,

This post is to address those who replied to my previous but now locked post.

First to SpeakerToAliens,

You made a very good point when you asked that did I get my Deadly rep before 2.1, indeed I did, that I feel is a very astute observation and could be why some many players are now having such difficulty in fending off npc’s? (Is the ‘ the correct as I’m not sure?)

Rep for you for spotting that as soon as I can as the previous post is locked.:)

Thanks to the other commanders who replied with good wishes.:D

I do apologise for a leaving post as I did not realise they were being locked, my bad.

Other points raised:

Did the npc follow me when I high waked, no, because I did not high wake but managed to escape the first interdiction but as I was near to my destination I super cruised and found him waiting for me near my destination, clearly I should have escaped before the likely interdiction.

I have not tried using mines; I will now do so when I get a Cobra so I will have more cargo space.

The suggestion of dropping cargo, no I didn’t do that but does it make any difference if coming up against and npc?

To those 2 commanders who complained about my punctuation I offer my humblest apologies, unfortunately the forum does not offer a grammar checker, although I do use a spell checker.

Although I do feel that taking time to make such a comment just shows that you aren’t playing enough ED or you wouldn’t be bothering with such trivial matters.

As to the art of running away believe me that is why I use an up rated Asp Explorer just so my boost speed is high but a Fer De Lance is really fast as well.

I will now just try to get some Meta Alloys for an engineer but without carrying any cargo, hopefully I will be able to get back the engineers base to turn it over before being destroyed to often as it becomes a slow whittling down of my remaining credits.

Then I may try a Cobra and see if I can increase my flying away skills.

Or perhaps land on a planet and use the srv for prospecting for a while.

At least that may keep me in the game until some more issues have been ironed out.

Just as a point of information for you all, I am 67 years old and a long time sufferer of clinical depression, (No sympathy posts please, this is just in helping you to understand one of the reasons why I play science fiction games as they help me keep my mind off negative thoughts.)

So I actually don’t mind the grind as long as it is productive in the end and does not result in too many setbacks, which regretfully it has since 2.1.

This post has been checked in Microsoft Word grammar and spell checker so I hope I will not offend anyone this time.

Well I ain't red the first'n, but dem gramma natzies can be worse'n tose dad gum far antz ya know!

Yeah grammar and spelling ain't my strong point either but I reckon that look at my handle and roll there eyes and keep going.

Hi The Army Redneck,

Yeah, I know what you mean, those Punctuation Police are real hot and heavy on forum posters.)

Good luck, CMDR. Hope I am kicking major butt and taking names when I'm 67 as well. :)
