General Updated Cockpits for old Ships.

Greetings Devs and Commanders alike.

In recent years we got more and more Ships with often very new and detailed looking cockpits. This is of course a good thing, on the other hand its bad for the old Ships.
If you compare the cockpit of a Python with the cockpit of a Krait phantom, youll see that the phantom has so much more details and looks overall "Cleaner" in graphics and design.
For those players loving the eyecandy of the latest shipmodels and their interior, old ships fall out of consideration or just are not as fun to play.

SO: I would like to request an update to the cockpits of the old Ship models. (Vipers, Python, Anaconda, Basicly all Lakonships except the Alliancevariants and so on.)

Thanks for reading and have a nice Evening/Day

Ummm, my 1992 Ford has a 1992 interior.. Why should FD commit to a visual upgrade that isn't for everyone and solves no bugs?

I think some ships, including the Anaconda and Python, have had interior updates in the past. Hard to find those old posts, though.

Since the quote "next big thing" is due at the end of 2020, ED will be 6 years old by then, the game will be due for a graphics improvement package, so why not.

I Would rather have Frontier work on Bugs and fixes than redo the cockpits of older ships. Or make sure Carrier update is working right then having us deal with the issue in new updates because they wasted their time on cockpit view.

Good Sir this is the Suggestions-forum not the issue tracker. I too would like to have them fix bugs but what we wish for and what they do are totally opposite things.

And yet none of you can still give good reason for this... I still ask why should FDev do this? It's clearly not something wanted by large numbers of people and would solve no bugs - probably cause some.. So I ask again, Why?

I'd buy a dark-themed reskin of the Cutter cockpit as a cosmetic: at the moment if there's a light shining on all that white "carbon fibre" to my right, the Systems Panel is more or less unbearable.

I always find it curious that posters who do not support a suggestion add a post to that suggestion, increasing the likelihood a dev will 'waste their time' reading it and - god forbid - liking it and deciding to suggest it to their team.

The purpose of the suggestions forums is to make suggestions and then discuss how those suggestions could be implemented, augmented, or positively/negatively affect gameplay. If you don't like a suggestion because you think it will 'get frontier off track', you might want to take a deep breath and repeat the phrase, "I don't make that decision" several times. Because if you did...we'd probably not have bugs, delayed carriers over a year, or build the Asp Scout...now would we?

Please use your replies to debate suggestions and how they affect gameplay.
Not how they affect the development schedule.

+1 to the OP, by the by, I agree some of the older cockpits could do with a refresher. Especially when compared to more recent additions, like the Krait Mk. II or even the alliance mediums, several of the older ships simply lack the sophistication of these newer models. I recall watching a video the other day from the beta when frontier had changed the Anaconda interior between patches. Elephant butt leather being another example, too.

So, yeah, I'm all for aesthetic improvements! Part of the fun of the simulation is how it looks!
