Ship Builds & Load Outs Upgradable cargo scoop idea.

Greetings all.

New to the forums so forgive me if this idea isn't new.
I was just thinking it would be great if there was an upgrade to the cargo scoop that could take one shield layer and project it forward out from the scoop creating a cargo funnel. Would help speed mining alot. I remember the days in the original elite where you could pop a freighter and scoop everything up as it drifted towards you.

Sound good to anyone else?

it would be nice to scoop without individually selecting targets but have you heard of the mining drones coming in the 1.3 update?

Yep I have read up on 1.3 and drones. I have been following the forum post on the beta as well. Just thought it would add some depth to the mining content.
