Engineers Upgrade Attempts saved?

Hi,

So I attempted an upgrade but the circle icon only made it 90%.
Like, I did 6 attempts, ran out of one mat, upgrade not complete.

Q: will ED save the progress I have made, so when I come back
with the mats, I won't have to start over?

A lot of them it's not really worth coming back for when you get to 90% - you'll end up spending several more materials and get e.g. 1m/s extra speed or 5 MJ extra shielding.

@Ian - so you mean, for eg, if I am upgrading fsd range, and let's say the upgrade gives me 3 extra LY, and let's say I've gotten to 90% -- the upgrade will give me like 2.7 LY?

I thought it was all or nothing -- either you complete the upgrade and get all the benefits, or you don't, and you get nothing. Am I wrong? Thanks!

You're wrong. Read the numbers (it's not obvious which is the maximum and which is the current).
