Upgrade backer level using new store?

Apologies if this is has answered already in the new store somewhere or in the forums. I looked first but couldn't find anything.

I'm currently in the second round beta. I paid for the £50 tier back during the kickstarter in late 2012. Having seen the alpha today, I considering upgrading my pledge to the £100 tier so that I can join the first round beta but I can't see a way to do this.

Can anyone explain how this can be done?

Too late, it seems - Newsletter #14 says:
The online Backers App will be ‘frozen’ after Friday December 6th, so if you are planning to upgrade your rewards please do so before then!

D'oh! That's a shame. I was willing to throw another fifty quid at this. I guess that money will have to stay in my bank account instead. It's probably for the best. :D

Backer App freeze *THEN* awesome Alpha gameplay footage, now that's teasing!
I pledged £80, so I was just £20 shy of first beta round. I really regret not spending these few extra quids now :')

i think FD missed a trick there, as the store shows the £50 item in your purchases and the £200 item includes the £50 item as well (i'm guessing but if it didnt i would be shocked) adding a higher level reward to the cart should make the existing item show up as a discount of £50.

give it a few days and i'm sure they will realise an error and adjust the shop accordingly

Beta 2 is planned to start in february ... it's not so long .... is it ? ;)

Right, and with the Holiday season, the inevitable new games that come with it, a whole slew of Kickstarter projects getting to completion (Wasteland 2, Divinity: Original Sin, ...) etc, it's not like I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands to lament :)

It does feel like a missed opportunity for FE to get a bit more funding from the sudden peak of backers excitement though.

Seems a bit strange as DB did mention in his recent video that if you are not in the Alpha then you are welcome to come and join in. I don't see why this can't apply to the Beta phase as well. Unless I have missed something.....

Yeah its a shame. So many people on the streams and Reddit that have never heard of the game are interested in throwing money at the game after seeing the alpha but the pledge levels are scaring them away.

Honestly I think the best move for FD would be to wait until the full game is released and when that happens put the alpha up on steam as a single player demo. That would drive exposure and sales of the full game I'm absolutely certain!

As well as change the shop so kickstarter pledges are a discount towards shop purchases ;-)

It does seem like a waste to not allow alpha/beta access as an upgrade for those who already have the base game unlocked. Personally I would have backed more, but the Kickstarter tiers came with all sorts of ingame goods which I am not interested in as I want to build up from nothing.
I'm probably not going to buy into the alpha due to the cost but I might be interested in the betas.
But I am absolutely not interested in getting the base game twice, presumably with one "copy" just being lost to the void.

I got the founder member tier but I will start the game with a sidewinder and 100 credits.

i'm fine with the first beta, and i might be able to add 100 but i certainly cant add 200£ now for the same thing.

i just hope the alpha goes smoothly and fast, i want the 1st beta for my birthday or sooner!
