Upgrade the artemis?

Being that this suit is aimed at the dedicated explorer, I dont see any functional reason to upgrade it.
Is there anything I am missing?
Perhaps if upgrading it could make finding bio signals easier there would be a reason. Increase the range of the bioscanners ping maybe?
What other upgrades could they give it that you feel would be useful out in the black?

Like when the ship engineers were added, I was hoping for practical, functional things, such as splitting larger compartments into smaller ones, or letting you edit input response curves, and specifically hoping they wouldn't involve any £*#! stats-modding.... :p

Multiple sample containers would be a good quality-of-life-improving start for the Artemis, presuming it is not already in there...

Absolutely loathe the notion of restricting hand tools to certain suits in the first place. -I have barely played, and am already sick of the pointless constant running into the phone booth to change -- at least let me sacrifice a weapon slot and whatever power distributor requirements it takes, to get to bring the arc cutter with me on the Artemis.

EDIT: Better insulation/temperature resilience would be an obvious one -- it that already available?

Night vision, jump assist, so far.

Looks like this:

No you're not. Use a SRV as mobile battery/storage, and you don't need much else. Perhaps night vision ?

Yes! multiple sample containers would be huge! Seems ridiculous that i have to abandon samples of one to scan something new.
Night vision is cool and all, but my srv already has that. Why should i care? Im only out of my srv to scan life anyway.

Another vote here for jump assist and night vision.

On another note it would be cool to see a bioscanner function for the SRV as well.

Not sure, I don't know how much power a genetic sampler pulse uses up.
About 10% on the stock suit.

Enough that in a big field with either two types of life with a big detection range, or three of any sort, you're going to need to either return to ship/SRV or use an energy cell.

...and since you can't get new energy cells except at a station, that's one more incentive to use the ship and SRV to move, and just get out to scan.

Improved Jump Assist
Increased Sprint Duration
Quieter Footsteps
And then it's a toss up between Night Vision, Enhanced Tracking and Extra Ammo Capacity.

All this to support an Executioner with Audio Masking, Noise Suppression, Scope and a toss up of Higher Accuracy, Headshot Damage and Greater Range.

I wonder if the scanner function marks people as lifeforms. Edit: I just checked and it doesn't highlight them, only moves the green grid over the area but that doesn't last long enough to be much use. Would have been a neat alternate use of the tool.

Well, just tried out hopping from rooftop to rooftop in an Artemis suit, sniping scavengers with an Executioner and I must say, this kind of playing suits me really well. Long term plan: Artemis Sniper loadout.
