upgrade to 1st roud beta?

My guess, based on nothing but speculation, would be that once alpha is done and dusted an upgrade similar to that available currently would become available to those in second beta/gamma/game.

Based on the above speculation, I speculate that this is indeed possibly accurate.
I backed elite dangerous and funds were tight at the time of pledging, but I was wondering if an upgrade from 2nd round beta to 1st round beta will be available for kickstarter backers? The same way we can upgrade to alpha at present.(cant afford that though)
I wouldn't think that it would be worth it, Alpha normally last a minimum of 3 months, I would expect Beta premium to only last about 6 weeks with the final Beta lasting another month before the game goes live into Gamma.
Contact customer services and ask, encourage others in your situation to also do so. The existing Alpha upgrades were partly in response to people asking for them.
Maybe something that will become possible closer to the time.

An upgrade for me would just cost £10.

actually splitting hairs i think your upgrade would cost you £15 not 10
(if you look in the store NOT the private packers you should currently see 2nd beta £50 and season pass £35).

It seems to me that Michael had said that for the moment nothing is planned but could be considered in the future
