[Urgent] ED Horizons 64 bit update stuck at<1 mins sync files and wont complete

i cant get a photo to post but it shows that it is all the way through at 24mbps and it says it has <1m and it wont complete??? what do i do? its done this every time i have tried.

I just want to explore the galaxy :(






 
delete - no wait, better move out of folder - the elitedangerous64.exe it was the cause of the error last time

This is a solution for a similar problem of an Elite download not completing properly, might be worth a shot..

Try the 'Alternative Download Method':

The launcher has an alternative download method that may help users suffering from a few select network-related errors. In a lot of cases you may find that your download issues can be resolved by enabling Alternative Download Method in the launcher Options menu.

If this doesn't resolve your issue please disable the Alternative Download Method and continue with the instructions below.

It's been reported that this is much faster too.


Try manually remove broken download files:

If this issue persists further you may be able to get the download to restart correctly by manually removing the broken .part or .progress files that the launcher is currently using.

Close the Elite Dangerous launcher
Locate your game installation folder by checking this FAQ
To easily locate all these files, search the specified folder for .part or .progress
Once the search concludes, remove all files that end in .part or .progress
Start the launcher once more to begin the download without these files

Support is the best way as players can only ques/give suggestions. Personally i can't remember seeing someone report similar issue before (at least not on discussion or beta bug report forums, don't keep that big eye on live bug report section). Quick google and forum search don't bring any other threads or discussions that would be related to this.

Making support Ticket will be only way to make sure someone at frontier will see your issue and may be able to help. Tell in support message when the problem appeared? Are you new player first time installing or have you played ed horizon before on same computer without issues etc. They will probably ask you to provide your Dxdiag, Client Log and Detailed Update Log with the support Ticket. There is instructions on how to get them and where to find them on support site after you start filling ticket.
 
hey guys i know and now i can launch the game and fly and do ANYTHING BUT launch starport services and doing that crashes the game, im wondering if i should delete everything and reinstall the game?

There is an option on the launcher to validate game files, try that first.
