URGENT: Frontier @ ESA Solar Orbiter liftoff Feb, 6th

The online applications website will open on Friday, 10 January, and all applications must be submitted no later than Monday, 13 January, at 12:00 CET.

ESA will invite up to 40 social media enthusiasts to visit Europe’s mission control centre in Germany on 5 and 6 February, watch the Solar Orbiter launch, meet top experts and learn more about our Sun, the Solar Orbiter mission and how ESA inspires exploration.

:/:Unclassified Message to Frontier CentCom, 26 Science Park Milton Road Cambridge, 3rd Planet Solar System, from Vice Admiral MaxG10:/:

Suggest we send one from Frontier and one from the community to represent the Elite Fleet. As for the one representing the community, suggest a strong social media background, such as CMDR's Obsidian Ant, Exiguous, Insonina, Down to Earth Astronomy, Alec Turner et al. you know who they are, or alternatively one from the Fuel Rats. ( In that case I can supply the fuel scoop for demonstration purposes!)

This is a unique opportunity to witness a remarkable liftoff event at European Space Agency, and who better to apply than Elite?

In order to achieve that, you are required to apply to ESA asap.

I think this might be a better link: https://www.esa.int/Science_Exploration/Space_Science/Orbiting_the_Sun_together
Now corrected.

This event is designed for people who:
  • Actively use one or more social networking platforms and tools to disseminate information to a unique audience.
  • Regularly produce new content that features multimedia elements.
  • Have the potential to reach a large number of people using digital platforms.
  • Reach a unique audience, separate and distinctive from traditional news media and/or ESA audiences.
  • Must have an established history of posting content on social media platforms.
  • Have previous postings that are highly visible, respected and widely recognised.
  • Follow one or more of ESA’s social media channels.

This one in particular ..

"Reach a unique audience, separate and distinctive from traditional news media and/or ESA audiences."

.. is SOO Elite: Dangerous community it hurts!

Hey Alec :) You answered before I was even finished, Hehehe! Thanks for chiming in, let's hope someone at Frontier sees that, on that point, I copied a link to here to their Press enquiries contact, I guess that's possibly the quickest for communication.

The rest is up to them.

Thanks Facta, just do it, I am too new around here, I know no one except David Braben, but kinda misplaced his phone number at the moment. ;)

P.S.
Respectfully, I know that the pea bean-counters will be all over you, but clearly,
potential benefits far outweigh expenses.

Well, apart from others, I copied this to Frontiers press department and Zac A., Head of Communications as well.

Have not heard a sausage yet, but well, it is up to them. I shall leave it at that.
