USB Hub for multiple controllers

Starting to run out of space to plug stuff in, just wondering if anyone has a good hub they use that can handle 5-6 things plugged into it with no issues.

Best if you get a powered hub.
I have been using this one for awhile. Keyboard, hotas, headset, Xbox controller.
ONCHOICE USB Hub 4 Ports USB3.0 with On/Off Switch High Super Speed Adapter with Cable for Laptop PC. Got it from Amazon

There are a lot of them out there. I like the individual port switches so that I can turn off the hotas when not in use (and turn off the hotas lights).

That's tempting. If you launch ED with the HOTAS accidentally turned off does ED do anything nasty such as wiping your bindings?

I have the x52pro. I found when I started using it there were issues with the software. Someone pointed out a workaround I have been using since. I have to open the device folder and bring up the hotas game controller settings, then in that window bring up properties.
So I have several steps before starting the game.
1 Oculus Rift.
2 ensure joystick is on and the above steps done.
3 start EDDiscovery
4 Elite launcher.
5 Voice Attack.

So I rarely forget. But I do have a backup copy of my binds in a different folder just in case.

It never has with mine. I do have a permanent backup of my bindings file though. Just in case.....

Forgetting to turn mine on is pretty much a standard thing. Although if certain game companies (I looking at Ubisoft here) would stop thinking my HOTAS was a xbox controller (or similar) I wouldn't need to keep switching the damn thing off :)

That mention of the Rift above reminded me of summat:

The sensors (?) for the Rift were a bit "choosy" about which chipsets in USB hubs / controllers they would work with and that was one of the deciding factors in my choice. It turned out that I couldn't put up with the Rift "experience" so sold that on but the hub is still going strong. I don't know if the Rift's sensors are still sensitive to chipsets, just thought I'd bring it up though.

I don't know., I have heard that people had issues but neither of my Rifts had any issues with the hubs or cabling I used.
One being a cheap Anker Ultra Slim 4-Port USB 3.0 Data Hub.
Another being Insten® 7-Port USB Hub with ON / OFF Switch, Black
Note that last one has a port for a power plug but does not come with one and seems work ok for me.

Good to hear - my experience comes from 2 years ago - as I said, I sold the rift on as I couldn't enjoy it.
