Use for Type 7

The type 7 has always struggled to find a role in game. I think with the new mining system and a little tweekto to the ships layout (top and bottom medium hardpoints instead of the currant small) it could make a great mining ship. It has a good range, good armour, great yaw. I would definitely go with it.

It shouldn't have a problem... it's a cargo ship!

The problem is that ED verged everything on the cusp of multirole to allow players to be different, oh yeah, some are better at specific things than others but lets be honest all ships are pretty homogenised

You are right they are but the type 7 is often overlooked in favour of the python as it can land on outposts while carrying almost the same amount of cargo and with two of the required mining tools only coming in medium sizes its ruled out of this too. I have a type 7 and it's not a bad ship at all it just needs something to make it more appealing it has everything needed to be a great mining ship except you can't fit the tools to it.

One thing you forget is Type-7 Transporter is 17,472,252 CR is a Freighter and the Python is 56,978,180 CR. The Python is a multipurpose ship.
