Used discovery scanner, lost all info

I was in a system where I had all the info about the stations and planets and I wanted to test the basic discovery scanner so I used it and everything in the list became "unexplored" and I didn't have any info except for the station near me. Why is it doing that and how can I have the info back?

Actually there are 2 types of scanners:
- the basic / intermediate / advanced... that discovers bodies and show them to you as "unexplored". That's what you have done.
- now you must target the unexplored bodyes and map them with your sensors (default) or detailed surface scanners. Just target and wait 30s, with the default one you must be at less than 50ls

But why does it erase everything I already know?

Had you previously bought the system information from a station? I've not tried to reproduce it, but I guess that scanning a system personally could overwrite any purchased data, if so then I'd guess it was a bug.

umm I dont know what they are on, but it sounds like a bug Dreossk so best ticket it.
