Just thought I'd mention this as it's something I've done...a while ago, back when I played Elite on a Mac, I recorded the audio from Elite using a program called 'Audio Hijack Pro' from Rogue Amoeba.
Specifically I loaded up one of the training missions and recorded me taking off, exiting the station, High Waking to a different system and then just cruising in supercruise for an hour or so, with nothing but the hum and throb of the Frameshift Drive, before I eventually throttle back and exit SC.
I find this is incredibly relaxing to listen to on headphones at work, especially when I need a bit of audio isolation in order to concentrate on something.
Anyone else do anything similar?
