Using Galaxy Map Filters

With all the time I've spent in this game I should probably know this, but I'm having trouble filtering the Galaxy Map to view only the systems I've visited. Only my bookmarks are showing up, and everything else is getting filtered.

(thanks for responding to a likely silly question)

Thanks for the reply. Tried that, but it appears to only show stars within a certain range of my position. There must be some sort of setting to adjust this range, but I can't find it. I'd like to filter all of them if possible, or at least see a wider view.

Cheers,
LP

If you have reinstalled the game the data may have been lost, it's not held by the servers but rather a local file.
No reinstall so all the logs are intact. But you did give me an idea - I was looking for a particular system I visited in October and remembered enough of the name to find it in the log file (I'm far from the bubble right now).

But my original question still stands - It would be cool to view a full Galaxy Map showing all the systems I've visited.

Thanks,
LP

Right - so you're saying the filter is working as expected, but you don't like it - gotcha (y)(As long as we can all agree it is working - as it is fine for me)

Edit: You can upload your logs to EDSM if you want a visualisation of where you have been.

Two thoughts:

1. Only systems close to your gal map selected position show up. So if you are looking for stars on the other side of the galaxy, you must move your selected position close to that area. Same concept if you are looking for black holes etc.... you must move your selected position around to see the systems within proximity. And of course if you zoom out too far from your selected position you don't see any systems.

2. As mentioned above, if you reinstalled the game the gal map might not display visited systems using the filter. However, if you manually select a system that you have visited it will show you the icon on the right to see the system map. Tedious, but it is a method to confirm if you have been there.

Thanks for clarifying. I don't use this filtering much and was trying to figure it out.
