I just built a python m2 for defending ground ports. 3 shards, 2 ax-multi-cannons and 1 vent-laser. I normally fly a challenger. On paper python2 looks ok a little light on hull but ok. Its planned to be 100 m/s a second faster and 50 m/s faster in boost then the chally. The thing is a pig!!! the only time it moves is when you boost. I find it odd, i am going to try removing some of the hull and mod reinforcements but it's kind of weak already, an ideas? I am using this ship to get use to using shards cannons. I killed 5 cyclops, 2 bassies and lots of scouts last night but it took forever. shoot repair shoot repair. Maybe I just need to find a wing to fly with. Elite is the best! o7 commanders.

I have planned/designed every ship I have on edsy first. I'm not sure how to save one so you can look at it though. I bookmark so I can revisit the design. When I figure it out I will repost for your ideas and opinions Thanks.
I quite like the Python 2 with 'boost away' after shooting the Tharg.
I hadn't used one before - or fought the Thargoids. I Engineered the engines Dirty Drive and the Power Overcharged so that I could keep everything online while I was fighting.
4 AX Multi-Cannons and a couple of Plasma Accellerators - worked quite well.
It cost as much as I made in Bounties at the Community Goal, which I bought it for.
Tiny Cargo space for Repair Limpets - and a muckle great Hull Reinforcement.
Plenty of Caustic Sinks and those defensive anti-Tharg-Pulse things . . but I never used them well enuff !

I assume there is a cleverer way but that works for me.
