I made a video illustrating how to install and use the Wii Balance Board with ED. Feedback appreciated.

Ok after reading this I went out and bought a balance board for £10 and a usb bluetooth dongle from the pound shop. Man so easy to set up and feels so much more intuitive than a hat switch on my x52. Fantastic find m8 thanks for posting

Great ideabut somehow i miss the part where hes really playing it in front of his screen, i just see some setup work and then the game.
But it maybe creates a new activity - like spacesurfing or spaceboard
pmsl. Great idea for those with balance, unfortunately you have never seen me on a WII balance board....
I'll definately be watching that when I get home.
Does anyone know if you can connect the Wii remotes the same way (I'm thinking headreacking using their gyroscopes would probably work, if you don't mind looking ridiculous)?
So I also dug out my Balance Board and gave the software a try. While it will probably not be as responsive as pedals it is a great inexpensive solution.
The problem I found is that when sitting it will create some ergonomic issues as the ankles will be stressed.
I grabbed a small piece of plywood from the Garage and put it up at an angle and it all still worked. My next step is to actually mount the board to an angled riser for a more concrete solution that also acts as a footrest.
Does this mean I can fire my plasma cannon with a twitch of my buttocks? Fantastic. My wifes Wii might have to have a sudden 'accident'.
What a great and low cost foot rudder!
I am going to try this at the weekend.
