USS Fine Tuning?

I think USS's need some tuning. I hate it when I get an assassination mission and check 15 quadrillion USS's for the target. I know Elite isn't fast-paced, but there should be some way of actually finding your target, not USS's, or give me a tool (or make me buy one) to find my prey. Maybe toss 'em into supercruise or give them a specially named symbol.

I think USS's are designed as random encounters.
I think their use as mission events and so-on is placeholder for the Persistent NPC Mechanic and proper event driven content, which I expect is being worked on.
I hope anyway.

Certainly seems that way to me too.

So by reading that, when you take say an assassination mission, that will likely spawn a tier 2 NPC.
They will then be persistent, actually traveling around doing things until you hunt them down and kill them.

The future looks bright.
