USS mission spawning concern

I got this random message to my inbox as I was gathering CIF, I thought sure why not and accepted.

Something to break up the monotony, boy was I wrong.

Going around a system waiting for a mission USS to spawn, because one would assume the USS will say 'mission target' since the goods are unique.. right?

And it's a mission USS, surely the mission USS will say mission... mission right mission mission signal source mission target source signal mission. Crazy? No I'm not crazy... why do you ask? [hotas]

40 USS spawns later .. I'm having a hoot!

Probably going about it the wrong way

Use scan on nav beacon, it will give you planet which around you will find what you are looking for.

It is kinda given in mission description.

Ya, at the risk of telling you something you may know, you need to either scan the nav beacon or honk a disco scanner, at that point the mission will update where you need to go to find your mission. It is usually a planet, you go to it and simply cruise around at about 5Mm distance at decent speed until you get a very obviously (blue text) mission related USS, and there you are.

I used my discovery scanner and got the mission to progress (thanks to Arry!), it's already done.

Afaik my mission made no mention of the need to honk my discovery scanner. It just said Search signal sources in the Luguls system to find them.

Maybe it was at the bottom, and I missed it, or it was not included (see picture above).
