I understand that USSs and POIs are mostly WIP but there are many issues with them and I see them as very immersion breaking.
The first thing I was thinking of is an option , were if turned on your ship will not drop out of SC the second the USS is finished loading but instead wait a few seconds (maybe with a slowing down effect)
This would reduce the pop in and other issues that happen (such as ships that should be fighting looking like they are not fighting but just flying in a line waiting for MR player)
The second option , rather minor but it would be an option to jump out at a greater distance like it used to be in prenuim beta Why? because it lets the AI load better , and is more immersive (and if its an option it hurts no one)
Then to the USS improvements , I do hope they are WIP/TEMP because they often feel disconected from reality and have the wierdest bugs that have been present sins 1.0 (and have been reported multiple times)
I think more procederal generation of the content would be nice , like :
First the USS looks at the current faction and the status they are in , then moves onwards to pick the type of encounter that its going to spawn (Weapon fire detected , convoy pattern , etc)
Then it generates the content based on the factions again.
For weapons fire detected (and others) random hull and shield damage could be added on to ships to give the ilusion that its not just an area made for the player
In some cases maybe new ships (outside of police) could jump in.
For example in pirate heavy systems , more pirates might jump in.
On the planet surface its just as wierd sometimes , but overall not as bad.
If anyone at FD reads this , even if non of this is going to happen could you at least tell us if POI/USSs are going to get overhauled and made more dynamic?
