In a surprising turn of events we also rise to #7 as Princess Aisling Duval drops to 8th, so enjoy!
Last week was a battle as we approach turmoil, so well done everyone in getting things done, especially a fantastic last minute fortification push that saw 19 clear fortifications, and 1 cancelled system.
Our expansion in LHS was unchallenged due to a bug, so we won that easily, pushing our CC requirements much higher to -493. This week we have the expansion target of HIP 19072, which is the Alliance listening post near Maia, so if you fancy some long range merit grinding now is the time to do it! However.........
Now, as we approach turmoil, we must flip more systems: Allowa, NLTT 6655, MCC 868, Narri, Gorringa, Ba Xian... anything to lower our fortification costs, especially sidebar systems. A reduction in Allowa and NLTT 6655 would have pronounced benefits to us, while others like MCC 868, Narri, Gorringa and Ba Xian are good to have as CC generators. As we move forward this becomes ever more important, even more so than expansion now.
Lastly, this post will mark a full year of me making these bulletins, I hope they have been useful to you, and if you have any suggestions as to improve them, let me know.

✱ Fortify: As always we need to defend Utopia from those who would do us harm. See the fortification sticky for guidance. We are approaching our maximum size now, with LHS 1228 being our 55th system. After this, we will be entering controlled turmoil territory. We have a lofty 430 CC to find, which is steep but not impossible- remember it all helps, large and small!
✱ System flipping: install the correct gov types, dictator, co-operative, communist. Get those triggers down! cdca has a stickied list that will show you where we need to focus.

Fantastic work, fortifiers in cycle 56! We avoided turmoil and have very little CC to spend. We are approaching controlled turmoil, so we must protect our good systems as much as possible, hence the extended priority list.
This list will be updated as frequently as I can manage, and is not fixed; systems may get added or taken away.
It is split into three, please work top to bottom, and stick to the list- we do not need to fortify everything so don't try to!
