Isn't that in the constellation?

it's 9.5 kylies from Sol apparently.

You won't find it or the other stars known to be of a larger volume. Nor will you find either of the two true second generation stars... Rng proc generation has it's limits but frontier could of added them by hand.

My hope is that part of the gameplay improvements promised include an update to the galaxy to make the map feel like the milky way.

UY Scuti isn't in the game because size measurements for UV Scuti were not published until after the ED map was created. Back then, VY Can Maj was "the largest known star in the galaxy", therefore VY Can Maj is the largest star in the ED galaxy.

Since then, more accurate measurements have shrunk the size estimate of VY Can Maj and discovered a couple of other stars that are bigger.

But it should still be there.
It was first catalogued in 1860.
